She was 26 years old at the time of auditioning and was from Tacoma, Washington, U.S.
For the blind auditions she chose to sing "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. Both Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera turned their chairs around but Vicci elected to join Cee Lo's team.
For the battle rounds Cee Lo chose to team her up with Niki Dawson and gave them the song "F**kin' Perfect" by Pink. After the performance Cee Lo chose to save Vicci and Niki was eliminated from the competition.
For the quarterfinals she chose to sing "Jolene" by Dolly Parton. She also performed with Cee Lo and the rest of her team to "Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone. Vicci was given the Public's Vote and went through to the next round with Nakia.
For the semi-finals she chose to sing "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence and the Machine. She also performed with the rest of the Final 8 contestants to a "Faith/Freedom! '90" medley by George Michael. Vicci gained the most votes and advanced to the finals whilst Nakia was eliminated.
For the finals the final 4 contestants each sang an original song. Vicci sang "Afraid to Sleep" and then sang a duet with her coach Cee Lo to "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar. She also sang a duet with Patrick Monahan from the band Train to their song "Drops of Jupiter".
Vicci came joint 3rd/4th with Beverly McClellan, Dia Frampton was the runner-up and Javier Colon went on to win the competition.
